    our ethics

Where our fruits are coming from?

Strategically Levana located in south west Germany close to where the fruit is grown. We take great care in selecting our raw material s in order to meet and maintain our high standards. Currently just over half of the growing fruit we buy in Germany, and of course our tropical fruits like mango, pineapple and banana come from a little further afield. We also consider the social benefit, by providing a market for products from less developed nations we can provide much needed income to local communities.

    health

    Fruit & Veg are mighty

It`s an essential and important part of our life.

If everyone in the world got their recommended fruit and veg, it's suggested, we could prevent nearly half of the premature deaths that result from diet-related diseases each year.

And eating more fruit and veg is strongly associated with reduced risk of hypertension, coronary heart disease.

Fruit and veg are full of a variety of healthy compounds that are often responsible for their colour.

Aim to eat a rainbow of different coloured fruit and veg every day.

    Bubbling with good stuff

Fruit and veg offer essential vitamins, minerals and fibre:

Fibre: Important for maintaining a healthy gut

Potassium: Contributes to the maintenance of normal blood pressure and normal muscle function

Vitamin C: Increases iron absorption, supports the normal function of the immune system, and helps reduce tiredness and fatigue

Phytonutrients: These are plant compounds and many are thought to act as antioxidants, neutralising free radicals that can damage your cells and tissues

    5 A Day

5 A Day is any of interational campaigns in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, to encourage the consumption of at least five portions of fruit and vegetables each day, following a recommendation by the World Health Organization that individuals consume "a minimum of 400g of fruit and vegetables per day.

A 250ml glass of Levana smoothies is made from 2 portions of fruit & Veg.

    being sustainable

    Fruit:

All fruits come from truly sustainable source.

    People:

We work with our farmers together to help them cope climate change and protect our natural resources.

    Future:

We make sure that every part of our process meets internationally sustainability standards.

We improve our processing technology to reduce energy, water and waste.

    recycling

It is an important way to reduce waste!

Our glass bottles is the right answer to our environment!
    And kinder to our bodies!

The glass is easier to clean than plastic and can be sterilised very quickly. The concerns over potential harmful chemicals within the plastic were not apparent. And even though many plastic consumables are now BPA free (considered a potentially harmful plastic chemical), some academics argue that further discoveries of harmful components may still lie uncovered. A focus in the media recently on the dangers of leaving plastic water bottles in sunlight for example simply highlights this fact further. As this research continues to evolve, many of us are becoming more and more conscious and engaged with these concerning issues.
